• For leak testing of passenger car air conditioning systems with gas detectors. (ATTENTION: Refrigerant may no longer be used for leak testing).

• Forming gas is a gas mixture with a reducing effect, in which the ignition limit is greatly restricted by the nitrogen content

• It is lighter than air and only flammable above a hydrogen content of 12%.

Application:

• The test gas, which consists of 95% nitrogen and 5% hydrogen, is filled into the empty air conditioning system.

• The pipelines and components of the air conditioning system are now inspected with a leak detector.

• At the slightest leakage the leak detector (see accessories) sniffs out the hydrogen and gives an alarm.
